AYESA MUNGUIA
Ayesa Munguia, has over 15 years of experience in education, focusing on students with behavior challenges and special needs. Her career has evolved from a behavior technician, to a residential counselor and now as a mentor and art instructor in San Jose, California. Creative art, and her spirituality have played a significant role in her life and in her contributions to community. Through these practices, she has been able to understand the importance of art as a form of healing and offer that in her work with youth.
As Co-Founder of the Heartworkers Union, Ayesa plays a crucial role in supporting the team, while also contributing as an artist and visionary. Her commitment to helping children and families stems from her personal experiences as a troubled youth overcoming trauma and addiction. Through mentorship, creative outlets, and resources, she aims to help young people build resilient and healthy lives, and as a heartworker, she looks forward to uniting with others who share the same collective vision for change.
